MRX Technologies is an Engineering company operating within the railway and mining industries.  With offices in Perth, Western Australia and Derby, UK, we develop, design and build advanced industrial measurement and control equipment, mostly for passenger and heavy freight railways. 

Current project work is as diverse as the design for manufacture of instrumentation to automate the measurement of rail component wear (including wheels, brakes and rails), through to the automatic operation of long heavy freight trains.

We seek an experienced, Professional Senoir Software Engineer familiar with international quality management system standards to join our expanding UK team.  This role is an important focal point for all software engineering activities and involves leading software engineers engaged across the group’s projects and operations. Monitoring project and product software life cycle status is a particular responsibility of this role.

To be successful in this role, you will have most of the following:

• a recognized degree in Engineering with a minimum of 8 years experience in software engineering.
• Working knowledge of embedded software use for industrial measurement & control and image processing.  Experience of QNX would be desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant software developmental process standards.
• Ability to manage and work as part of a team
• Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively and meet deadlines
